-President is Francois Hollande and the Prime Minister is Manuel Valls
- Government divided into executive, legislature, and judicial

 Hollande:
-Hollande is part of the socialist party
- Hollande ran in 2012 and ran
-Hollande became presdient on May 15, 2012

Manuel Valls:
- elected April 1, 2014
- born in Barcelona, Spain and obtained French nationality only at age

Republic:
-A state in which the supreme power rests in the boy of citizens entitled to vote and is execised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly buy them
-The word Republic means " public thing" in Latin
-government is called 5th republic
-existed for 56 years
-Hollande can be president until 2022


Leader can be changed by:
-New election
-Boycott
-Assasination
-Revolution
-Cabinet can be removed by thge National Assembly through a censure motion
-Censure motion: A statement or vote which states that a person in superior position is no longer deemed to fit to hold that position 
- UMP is the second most popular party in France
-UMP was formed in 2002 as a merger of several centre-right parties under President Jacques Chirac

Election:
-Francois is likely to run for president again
-Hollande, Sarkozy and many others are likely to run for President again





China:
-China is a communist state
-Communist: A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and every so often the authoritarian party holds power; a state controls are pressured with the elimination of our private ownership of property or capital while claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people
