Friday's Class Notes

China:
-China is a communist state
-Communist: A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and every so often the authoritarian party holds power; a state controls are pressured with the elimination of our private ownership of property or capital while claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people




Xi Jinping:
-Born in Bejing in 1953
-son of revolutinary veteran
-president serves for 10 years in China
-Xi has been in office for 2 years
-power runs in the family, so presidency was passed down from father to son



Overthrowing a President:
-Impeachment- formal process in which an official is accused of awful activity
-Re-elect - to elect for another term in office
-Assassination - the action of killing someone



Japan:
-President of Japan is Shinzo Abe
-Parliametary system, constitutional monarchy, and a unitary state
-diet of Japan votes on Prime Minister
-Also had an Emperor - Emperor Akihito 


Change In Leadership:
-Re-elect
Impeachment

Shinzo Abe:
-The governemnt started in 1947
-finished first term in 2007 and thrn came back aagin in 2012
-expected to be in charge as long as he does his job right
-
