10/28
Today in class, we continued to work on our power point. Emma and I chose Canada, and we are almost finished our report. We worked on it all class yesterday and today. We thought we were done, but Mr. Schick gave us more ideas for things to put into our power point. We searched for the things to put into it. We could not find anything that we were positive was true, but we did find things that were opinionated and from the people in Canada. Emma and I are going to look over it tomorrow and see if we want to put any of it in our power point. We will also continue to look for facts about Stephen Harper and the Canadian government.

October 21st
Today in class we went over the homework we had for the Friday and last night. We had a class discussion about the small project we had over the weekend. After we talked about that, we went over the homework we had last night; which was to find out interesting facts about all the leaders of the countries. Everyone in the class shared a fact or two or three. We also went online and looked up some more interesting facts. While people were sharing the facts, we had little discussions about them. Mr. Schick asked us questions about the fact; like 'do you think it is shocking' or 'isn't that crazy or odd to hear?' These facts were shocking, some of them were things you would never ever expect.

Test!!!
We took a test today in Human Geo. The test was very hard in my opinion. Some of the things on the test I knew, but others were. I thought I used the CIA world fact book very sufficiently. I couldn't find something that i needed to know but eventually I got it. The first test we took in Human Geo was not that difficult, but this one definitely was. I think I learned today that you never know what to expect on a test, so it is good to prepare yourself as much as you can.

Friday
We had a very interesting discussion on Friday in class. Mr. Schick asked us the question "Do you think America is the greatest country in the world. Before asking us this question, we watched video about it. The video was mainly about how America is no longer the greatest country in the world. It talked about how the United States used to be the greatest country in the world, but it no longer is. But if we work hard enough, we can make it the greatest country in the world. So, getting back to the question, many people had different opinions. My personal opinion is that America is not the greatest country in the world. I think that it is one of the better countries of the world, but I think they we are definitely not one greatest leading countries in the world.

Wednesday
Today in class we went over the population pyramid again. Mr. Schick talked to us about China and there population. He went over how they made a law that each family could only have one child for many years. Many people obeyed this law because of how close the country was to its government. It would be abnormal for someone in China to disobey the government or go against them. Many woman would get pregnant and as soon as possible, fin out the gender of the baby. If the child was a male, they would keep it. If the child was a female, they would most of the time get an abortion. This was because men usually got more attention in China. It was easier to vet a job, the job would have better pay, and they were more respected. Some families would choose to keep the child if it was a girl, because they believe that they are equal.
